I think you might need a "pod". It's a device Xfinity has that you can plug in and it can strengthen the signal in rooms away from the modem tower. I hope it helps set you on the right path. EDITED You purchase the pods but they only come in sets of three or six. 3 for $119 or 6 for $199.
