Are you allowed in the monument as of December 2018?

It's not open in winter. Only during summer and spring.

Monument is open from Memorial Day to Labor day every day. Weekends to fall foliage. 830 to 330 in summer. Fall is 930 to 430 provide d there is staffing

You can still visit the park, you just can't go into the actual monument. The views are incredible.
