MCAS is an "Open Admissions" County shelter - accepting dogs and cats within Monroe County. It is not a "No Kill" shelter, but has a save rate of 82%. The shelter does owner requested euthanasia at not cost for valid reasons - illness, injury, etc. Please contact the shelter directly for (correct) answers to any questions you may have.
There is a low cost veterinary hospital in Greenback.
The Monroe City pound is not a kill shelter nor do they entherniz animals that don't belong to their organization ... You would have to give your cat up for them to do that ... You can either call them and ask if there is any low cost veterinarian that you can take your cat to ... Even they would have to examine your cat ... Before the next step is taken ...
