IMAX displays on bigger screens while Dolby Cinema is a little smaller but has a brighter and clearer display than IMAX... Sound quality depends on the equipment that was used to produce the sound. Both are great...
The IMAX theater at this AMC is overrated in my opinion. The screen is bigger but it's old school movie seats. In the Dolby theater, the seats recline and the sound and video quality is outstanding. The screen isn't as big but the experience in Dolby theater is top notch
Technical IMAX looks and sounds better but in reality, about $4 is the only difference.
