I think the biggest point that can be made for this theater is this: Southlake 24 in Morrow has now moved into the 21st century in terms of movie theaters. Frankly, I appreciate the changes made there. My experiences prior to the upgrades were poor at best...people talking or kids sneaking in and out of the theaters. My family and I could rarely enjoy the movies. I would argue that we should appreciate the fact that we have a classy theater we can all enjoy without having to drive to Buckhead!
If you can't buy your tickets online then how did you make this post?
Reserving seats helps filter out people who did not pay for the movie. No matter if you buy the ticket online or in person, you must pick out a seat. I have done both before and they will tell you witch seats are available and not online too.
Those of us who buy our tickets online are “showing up early”.
I love the reserve seating. It is a great way to insure my family of 5 can sit together. I've reserved tickets online and I've gone directly to the box office a day or two ahead to purchase tickets. I also love the reclining seats!
You can get there early enough to buy them in person. There are so many advancements in technology that make movie going better. The only thing that should be changed is I think there should always be an employee present during the first 15 mins of the movie to assist with seating. So many times I had someone in my seat when I got there and had to ask them to get up. Which is unnecessary conflict and disruption.
Going to the movies is getting a little too complicated for me. I think I'll just wait for Redbox. I have a very comfortable recliner at home. I don't miss anything if I need a bathroom break. And besides, the popcorn, nachos and soda are cheaper. A lot cheaper.
It still see like first come first serve to me...if you want a certain seat plan ahead...go online and purchase them...or you can follow your own advice go early and buy the seats. Things always change.
I went to see an older movie and had the theatre basically to myself. So I just sat in another seat since they were empty. The movie started and a woman came in and asked me move cause I was in their seat. She passed 30 empty seats just to ask me to move and she was late. I'm a nice person so I did move but their are a lot of people that would have been confrontational. Reserve seating at the movies is going to be a problem when the wrong people decide they want to fight over a seat. AMC dropped the ball on this one unfortunately.
This makes completely sense! If you can’t purchase tickets online then go ahead of time to get good seats.
I love the reserved seats. A group of people were in my seats with tickets from the day before. No problem getting them out. The nerve of trying to see a movie twice.
Being able to reserve seats to watch a movie is an awesome enhancement!! People find the most idiotic things to gripe about. If someone paid to reserve a seat, even if they miss half, GET OUT OF THEIR SEAT!
It's a time-honored tradition to get there early to get a good seat. Its infuriating that someone can pay a week ahead of time and get a better seat.
They have reserved seating because they have recling seats. You can pick your seat right at the box office window if buying online isn't an option.
You reserve seats when you buy at the theatre as well. It's more organized and helps prevent people movie hopping. I love it!
Pay a week ahead and got a better seat, evidently they got there first times have changed get with it or get left
We get there early enough to do that. It’s called buy in person early in the day or even the day before. What it does mean is you don’t buy a ticket and then hope you have a good seat. You get to see where the available seats will be before you spend money on them.
I agree, it gets frustrating but it’s to filter those who did not pay for a movie or to tell how many seats available.
If you are going to a movie with reserve seating when you go to ticket counter, there will be a display for u to choose seating.
Man times are changing! Imagine in 30+ years, kids will be asking us “you mean you guys used to really be able to buy a movie ticket & sit ANYWHERE you wanted?” “How were they able to keep people from walking in without paying??” Lol Sidenote—some of you make ZERO sense! How can you say that since you arrived “early enough to pick your seat” that “it’s your right” & that you shouldn’t have to move for a person that reserved their ticket online (obviously BEFORE you) since you saw the seat unoccupied! Just because you didn’t witness them reserving the seat, doesn’t mean it wasn’t done!
It is to secure reaerve seating.
Yes I have been there when there were alot of seats available. But they were reserved. I disagree because if you look online most of the seats are already reserved and the movie I want to see is tomorrow. So by the time I get there those seats won't be available!
That's how you get a ticket now?
Youre an idiot
So many kids movie hop the point in reserved seats is so the paying customers are guaranteed the seats they want and can have people move if they sit in them but you don’t have to buy your ticket online you can go to the window and still reserve a seat 🙂
Drive up to the theater the day before , buy your tickets in advance . Problem solved. Nobody is making you sit where you don't want to sit, if you don't like the spots don't buy simple .
it is very fair..do you complain like this over concert or sporting event seating too?
I agree.
Plenty of arguments could b made, but overall, reserved is not worth it! I pay the same amount as everyone else, So I shouldn't have 2 see slim pickings because a family of 2 r 5 was able 2 pick their seats n sit 2gether. Thereby leaving 1 r 2 isolated seats btw, whereas my family of four can't sit 2get her. This has happened online, early tckts, & @ the booth. At least, previously ifvtherecwere three seats 2get her & 1 btw someone, sometimes they don't mind moving over. That's common courtesy.
I love the reserved seating!!! I can get the seat I want in advance, and not have to "fish for it" when I arrive. One less thing to worry about. Change is good!!!!
You can get your tickets days in advance by simply going to the theatre and purchasing at the counter. You also get better deals by going to the counter. I went to get my son and I Saturday seats for Black Panther on a Wednesday morning and actually paid less than I would have online.
My thing is why a person got to be placed seated but take our money and allow babies inside.. If they want to change they need to make hours with people want to bring kids..
I get discounted tickets through my job so I can't reserve a seat, so if I don't get there early it may sell out..
