They allow bbq's at Captree. When you get past the toll booth bear right at the fork. It will take you to a family picnic area. There is no BBQing on the Robert Moses beaches fields 1 thru 5.
They have grills in certain locations, if you can hide it, its legit. Go smokeless. I recommend hitting a deli, even some local gas stations (Citgo, Bayshore Rd.) has great heros and stuff

There are bbq areas at Robert Moses but they are not on the actual beach, they're adjacent to the parking lots. They have grills there already, not sure if u can bring your own.
