Anyone know who to call/contact the day of to see if campsites are available before we leave? Coming up from San Diego and don’t want to make the trek up there to camp if no campsites are available. Thank you!

Campsites at this time of year is never a problem. It is managed by the BLM and that campground is named the Richardo's, you can get on line and locate or and get a phone number or lookup the Jawbone Canyon store or information center and they can help you. Great area to explore!

I know the area very well. As long as it is not a holiday weekend you will not have a problem finding a spot at the campsite. It will cost $20 per vehicle.

there really is no telling, there are many available spots at the campsites, the better ones are almost always taken but you can find a lot of basic ones. good luck !
