Its a fair distance from the strip. Lots of traffic for the first bit. If you are in good cycling shape then probably ok early in the day. If you're a weekend warrior...probably better to drive and get out and walk at the pullouts.
Thats a haul from the strip.
I wouldn't reccomend bike riding from the strip.. or maybe not even at all. The heat index is dangerous right now and the traffic is terrible from tourists. The roads aren't really large enough for you to bike on with the cars either. But there are several places to hike and climb! Its very beautiful
Yes.. its about 30 plus miles
Dont do it. Drive in and enjoy the ride without killing yourself
I think it's too far and the heat would definitely be a concern. I would drive there and then ride my bicycle there. Hope you have fun!
I would drive to the canyon, with your bike on your vehicle and park the car in the Visitor Centre lot, then bike the 13 mile route through the park. You'll be glad you did...
I would strongly suggest you not do it! Way too hot and way too steep!
Great trip on a bicycle, as long as you drive to the park
Its definitely doable but as the other said above. Early day or late day to avoid the most heat. Make a judgment call on your own fitness if you think that this is an appropriate ride for you.
NO! That's about a 25 minute drive from the strip plus the canyon area is a 13 mile drive. There are trails you can park and walk through. If you love nature and a great scenery, just bring a case of water cause you'll be there for a while.
Well, you're gonna need a lot water with you. To be honest, it's in the middle of the desert and really hot. I've been there 2 times and saw people riding bicycle. İ was like "wow", you know :)
