Yeah, but not readily. It's a desert so there's always going to be animals. You'll mostly see lizards.
Early morning they will be out sunning themselves to get warm. Stick to higher traffic areas, dont poke around in holes or underbrush and they won't be an issue.

We did not see any. Use caution when walking and when stepping over stones or fallen vegetation. They will usually avoid contact with you and know you are there before you know they are there. I noticed no cell signal out there so be careful!
They are there, but generally sticking on high trafficked areas and trails they are more afraid of you than you are of them
I have never seen them personally (thank god) but the area is condusive for it.
