Yes, the Alamo is downtown so there are lots of places to eat. The other Missions do have parks close or on premises where you can picknic. Do remember that they are precious historical places that you need to show respect for even if they are not religion. Show respect for the people who died defending them. We want to perserve them for our children and grandchildren to learn what it took to build this great nation.
Okay so the missions are actual historical sites. However they do have areas for groups of families or tours to have lunch and they have public city parks nearby to enjoy as well. It is a great way to spend a weekend riding a bike and enjoying the scenery.
