Actually a pet could have the same quality of life if the owner is willing to keep providing. Having a child shouldn't change the situation of care. Would you give up a older child if you were having another? Probably not but since you posted here call the human society to set of they have openings. They put an alert out for foster homes asap to prevent euthanizing current dogs and cats.
She's a little over a year. Medium sized. Potty trained, very smart, loves people.
