Call Hope Atlanta and schedule an appointment with ailene Gordon. Explain to her your situation and tell her and only her that Jonathan Perry suggested her because her and Mrs Dash are to of the best that place has. I know a shelter is not a nice place to be. I've never stayed in one but i have been homeless. It's a difficult situation but it's not impossible and Mrs Gordon is the perfect amount of inspiration and hope wrapped up in a beautiful person.. Wednesdays they are only a half day. DO NOT MISS YOUR APPOINTMENT. And you'll need to have picture ID, your award letter and she'll tell you the rest, but call immediately and make an appointment. Hope this helps.😉
I had a chance to meet Shari Blake. This woman sat down with .me, took my information, had me fill out the application, referred me to sober living america for six months, told me to keep in contact with her because once I receive the certificate of completion from SLA she would get me into housing in Gwinnett county. All the while I kept calling her, no response. So then finally after the six months, she text messages me telling me to stop calling her phone and her job at Hope Atlanta, that she wasn't my case worker and could do nothing for me. I've seeked legal counsel begin this, because now I'm homeless all over again and suffering worse than when I started.
Hope Atlanta will not put you in an apartment in an area safer than the area you are currently in. The following Gwinnett County apartment complexes HOPE Atlanta uses are: Landmark at Bella Vista in Duluth. The Pointe at Norcross, and other low-income, drug and crime infested areas. Hope Atlanta cannot offer you safety! I was burglarized twice in my HOPE Atlanta apartment in The Landmark at Bella Vista in Duluth. They have roaches. The Pointe at Norcross has a really bad roach problem.
@christopherlincoln Hey I think we met once before and talked briefly about this. Can I have your email? Or a way to contact you?
Myself and my 11 year old son are homeless can they help us?
