I honestly would go back where I came from Hope Atlanta and none of these organizations in Atlanta that claim to help the homeless or they're community is not going to help you. These organizations get a check for you coming there for services while they break Hippa laws rules and regulations and share you're business with other people thats they're friends and family that work for the same type of so called organizations. All these organizations do is keep the money and then they will pass you to another organization. I met a battered woman with a daughter when I lived there that experienced the same thing at GATEWAY.

You can try the Atlanta Women and Children's Day Shelter on Ethel Street. You have to get there kind of early to be able to talk with a Casemanager. Hope Atlanta can help as well. They are a different route tho. Their downtown location does not provide shelter assistance. Only housing assistance.

these people help me and my wife we got stranded in Atlanta we missed our bus going to Chicago Illinois the Greyhound because we went out exploring around we had a 3-hour layover from which end up only being an hour layover and they didn't want to refund us our money these people pay for our ticket and sent us home and gave us food to eat on the bus these people are amazing organization the lady at the front desk Ms Jeremy she is the best she's amazing and she deserves a raise thank you so much for getting us home God bless you

The program doesn't work if you look at the reviews most of them are negative all SCAM ATLANTA is going to do is use you're misfortunes, homelessness and you're business against you to get state and government funding for themselves. They get a check just for you coming there for services and you won't see a dime for help or services. Everything about these agencies is about politics, business and money although they claim to be God fearing loving Southern Bible belt Christian's. They will lie to you time and time again about services and have you fill out stacks of paperwork that do nothing. Then they will broadcast you're business to other people at other organizations to see how they can use you to get the most bang for the buck. Don't waste you're time or trust none of those people.

The executive director there is Elizabeth Thompson her staff Mr. Que and Mrs.Tenisha should be able to help you with the drug money they make on city property there and Richard Hutchinson at this business called NAESM has a friend name Dominic Gaye that should have no problem helping you find resources in the community because he has a fabulous online WORDPRESS magazine.

Yes, they help with furniture if you are accepted into their program. The quality of the furniture is totally dependant upon the donations received by the furniture bank. HOPE ATL only does the referral to the furniture bank. You are the one who will go and make your selections on the date of your appointment with the furniture bank.

they helped me honestly though, they get funding to help people with mental disabilities and people living with HIV/AIDS. otherwise I suggest gateway. tell them you want to see if you qualify for housing @ welcome house sro which is directly across the street from gateway. these organizations get grants. the people who give the grant get to say how the money is spent. spend it in any way other than what is specified and you can lose your Grant and ultimately your organization. that's why there are so many people that hope Atlanta cannot help because they fall outside of the scope of the grants. they don't suck. they're not a waste of time. they've helped thousands of people, I'm one of them.I don't know if you know this, but depression is a mental illness and that falls under the purview of their Grant I'd suggest you go get a diagnosis from 10 Park place. and actually they may also be able to help you get housing.
