we are staying in Taos , May 31 thru June 2nd. looking for interesting things to do, ie, hiking. how far is the Devisadero loop hiking trail from Taos? and about how long does it take to Hike it? how many miles?

And yes. It is not far from Taos. Depends on where you are located in Taos really. And it is up to a 6 mile loop, so depending on how you hike too

It's right on the edge of town, 1st mountain slope into the Taos canyon, 5 minutes from downtown. Devisidero is a very steep, 6 mile loop starting on the north side of the canyon. It takes me about 4 hours to do the whole loop, but many people do it in about 3 hours. There are trails on the other side of the road (south side where the big parking lot is) that are more shady and not so steep.
