What items are needed? Do you take used bed pillows?

I've done laundry at the animal shelter and I have not seen pillows. I think that's because the stuffing inside of pillows could be dangerous to some animals who, due to stress in the shelter environment, might shred or eat a pillow. But I agree that blankets and towels of all sizes are much in need. No comforters with stuffing and no electric blankets with wiring again because those are dangerous to the pets.
