Consider looking past all the recent negative reviews! My fiancé and I moved from across the country and were so scared after reading some negative reviews about this place! We were worried about parking, theft, homeless camps, safety… EVERYTHING negative I have read about has been resolved/ fixed! New management recently took over and has been working hard to make a difference! Laura and Emily have made this moving process so amazing for us! The price is great for the location, only being 15 min walk from the heart of Rino. I feel extremely safe living here and haven’t had any problems after 1 month of moving in! Thank you for helping us love our home!

Honestly didn’t have many complaints about city gate until recently. My car got towed in the parking garage where I pay $100 a month. I take full responsibility for the fact that my parking permit must be displayed on my dash (and it wasn’t) however why are they not cross checking whether or not the car being towed is associated with a permit? My permit broke the day I moved in so I’m unable to hang it on my mirror and when I put it on my dash is slides off. I don’t understand why I provided them with the make model and license plate of my car if they’re going to completely ignore that when towing cars. They act like they didn’t see it parked there every single night for the last 11 months, honestly it felt petty to me. The cost to get my car back was $260 with the Uber included and because of this I won’t be able to make rent this month without asking for a friend to spot me (horribly embarrassing). This complex isn’t a rental property with the best interest of the tenant in mind. Aside from this issue, the constant overflowing of trash in the garage, and lack of safety from the exit door that was left open for nearly 7 months as well as all outside doors to the property being left unlocked, sure it’s a fine place to live.

My apartment has been flooded twice due to issues with the plumbing. Had some of my items ruined because it was sewage water. And the second time, my paycheck was ruined, had to request a new one from my job so it made me paying the rent late. So instead of having any sort of sympathy, I got slapped with late fees. My apartment now smells like mildew and there are cracks all over the ceiling, which no one has done anything about. And to top it all off, I had a bike stolen from my unit. The lack of empathy and security in this place is astounding. I also had my car stolen out of the garage that is supposed to be sealed, and since there was no security team or cameras, I was basically told I was out of luck. So that’s great. *update* My AC has been off the entire summer. Have asked multiple times with maintenance team to come look at it. No one has. Leasing office continues to dodge my requests. And when I state I should have some kind of credit on my account for all that I have dealt with, they just apologize, but don’t do anything. I’ve spent all of summer sweating in my apartment, and not sleeping well. On top of it, my dishwasher is not functioning properly. But gave up on that getting fixed since twice maintenance came and ignored the fact the lining for the dishwasher came off. I’m currently looking into legal action and I highly recommend anyone else dealing with similar issues to do the same. Didn’t think this place could get worse. But it did. Can’t wait to get out of here. Update on top of the update. Laura and Emily have both reached out and been super helpful about my situation. If you guys see this review, I hope you know you’ve helped me keep my sanity in these situations. This complex hasn’t been the greatest to me, but you two deserve so much recognition for what you do.
