Go to mill pond parking lot or Dunham res.
Parking should be free since it is after the end of the season; but in general you could park for free at any of the parking areas except the primary lot by the beach. The park closes at dusk - so if you're planning to go stargazing you may want to call the park office first. You would have really good views from the boat launch on Long Pond.
