Regarding your question. Yes there are picnic tables, and a covered pavillion. According to the park's website. They do have a play area for children. The side of the park, I was on. I didn't see a play area. My family arrived at 9AM to set up for a large family gathering. On a Saturday afternoon. There's rest rooms available as well.

The carousel party room is booked through the park office at (516)766-1029, but is is not available this year due to construction in parking field 1. The carousel ride is open on weekends and is $2 per ride.

I did something yesterday 8/30/20 We left at dark Bathroom was not cleaned some sinks didnt work And it was my son 8th birthday Park is great and big but they told us we had to lower our music. And they only have one Bathroom for women in the whole park was line for women

No. There are swimming pools at echo Park swimming complex on Nassau boulevard about a mile and a half West. Also, unofficially people do swim in the largest water body in the state park - Hempstead Lake. There are mini beaches along that shoreline

You could just pay the parking fee and have access to the grills in the picnic area but if you will be using the carousel cabin you have to make a reservation.

There are at least 2 separate playgrounds and a carousel. The playgrounds have multiple types of swings, several slides, amongst some other playground equipment. There is also a newer addition, built by the Boy Scouts. A weird wooden octagon for some ball game I've never heard of.

About $25 and you will have to apply for it 30 days in advance. You can apply online or go to the park service office and get a paper application.
