We try to be available to provide adoption services by being open 10-4 on Saturdays and our evening hours on Wednesday nights 5-7. We also must be available to Animal Care & Control and other law enforcement agencies for animal-related situations and most of these agencies operate 8-4 or 9-5.
They operate on donations which allows them a limited amount of staff available during weekends. The funds donated go towards costly medical care to save kritters lives. The staff have families too😊😀😁
Thank you for your responses. I used to direct a program for homeless families in Norfolk. It's difficult to staff a program. Maybe you could have a few volunteers with a staff member on Sundays for a few hours.
