The called me saying that someone found our dog (my daughter took him on a walk and he got loose). When I arrived no one had any clue what was going on. Finally I found my dog being walked around property with woman who found him. They need better communication between employees

Yes, Check the website for all the regional locations near you every day/week, you may find one.
Hey there! We recommend checking our Adopt page (rhspca.org/adopt) since it's updated in real-time as animals get added and adopted. Animals displayed on that page are available and you can schedule an appointment to visit them and fill out an adoption application right from their profile. If the pet you're looking at is on our Strays page (or an outside site like Petfinder or Adopt-a-Pet), we ask that you use our Adopt page instead since the previously mentioned sites display stray pets in our care that are not yet available until their stray hold is complete. Thank you!
Hey there! Our adoption fees are listed on our website at www.rhspca.org/info as well as everything that is included with them.
Hey there, Linda! We do occasionally have puppies up for adoption but they are very popular and get adopted very quickly. The best advice I can give you is to check our website frequently at rhspca.org/adopt. It's updated in real-time as animals get added and adopted. You're also welcome to submit an adoption application at rhspca.org/apply to get pre-approved to adopt from us. We hold applications on file for up to three months and then you can call us and attach a pet's name to your app if someone shows up on our website that you're interested in.
Hey there! On Wednesdays, we are open from our normal 10am-4pm hours and then we ALSO have additional evening hours from 5-7pm. We just close temporarily on Wednesdays from 4-5pm so we have time to clean and feed the animals before we reopen to the public. Feel free to give us a call if you have any other questions at 540-434-5270.
Unfortunately, we do not have a veterinarian on our staff capable of performing surgeries for owned pets. However, we do have a community cat program that helps spay/neuter outdoor cats. You can read more about this program at www.rhspca.org/communitycats.
Hey there! Yes, we have dog and cat appointments that you can schedule to visit with our animals during our operating hours. Appointments are one hour in length and limited to two people in the adoptable area at a time. And please bring a face mask when you visit. Cat appointments: https://signup.com/go/nrZpyzG Dog appointments: https://signup.com/go/OfcSdmR
Hey there, Michelle! Excellent answer, Morgan. Correct, we are operating by appointments only currently to limit the amount of people in the building at a time. You can schedule a dog appointment for you and up to one other person at: https://signup.com/go/OfcSdmR. If you'd like to come back, you would just need to make another appointment. You can submit an application for an animal on our website (we'll keep it on file for up to 3 months, rhspca.org/apply) to start the approval process for when you do see an animal you'd like to adopt. But we can not hold an animal. The first individual with an approved application, would be able to adopt the pet.
We do not. However, we do offer cremation services. If that's something you wish to inquire about, please call and talk to our customer service team at 540-434-5270.
It sure is. I donate my time to them and know this for fact
I did community service there when I was 13 that was 10 years ago but I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem unless your charges are extremely bad lol
I think they have some pit bull mixes at the moment. Check out their website to see what is currently available. https://www.rhspca.org
Call them and find out.
Does someone looking for a pit.looking for a good home for female young 78months lot of pup in her.
Unfortunately we don't have the staff or means to do pick ups. We DO accept domestic rats from Harrisonburg City and Rockingham County residents. I'm sorry we can't pick up, hopefully someone will step forward to provide a ride for you all.
No. We request a donation to help provide care for them, but it's not mandatory.
You may go to the place and check with them. There are many different dogs.
I think they only do animals that are adoptable from there. Anicira veterinarian is usually pretty cheap they do special deals sometimes for puppies
We try to be available to provide adoption services by being open 10-4 on Saturdays and our evening hours on Wednesday nights 5-7. We also must be available to Animal Care & Control and other law enforcement agencies for animal-related situations and most of these agencies operate 8-4 or 9-5.
We never know who might be coming through our doors, but our website is updated in real-time. Check rhspca.org/adopt for us specifically, or you can do a regional search on Petfinder for specific breeds. Good luck!
The best place to learn about rabies clinics is your local treasurer's office. Once the treasurer's office approves them, we try to courtesy post them on our calendar either on our Facebook page (facebook.com/rhspca) and/or our events calendar (rhspca.org/events). Thanks for looking to keep your pets and family safe!
They make you fill out an application. Then you go and check out the animals. They will then let you spend a little time for you and your chosen pet/pets. You go from there. Good luck
Yes they do. They have rabbits birds and there was a guinea up their the last time i was there.
