Animals displayed on that page are available and you can schedule an appointment to visit them and fill out an adoption application right from their profile. You're also welcome to submit an adoption application at rhspca.org/apply to get pre-approved to adopt from us. We hold applications on file for up to three months and then you can call us and attach a pet's name to your app if someone shows up on our website that you're interested in.

We just close temporarily on Wednesdays from 4-5pm so we have time to clean and feed the animals before we reopen to the public. You can schedule a dog appointment for you and up to one other person at: https://signup.com/go/OfcSdmR. If you'd like to come back, you would just need to make another appointment. You can submit an application for an animal on our website (we'll keep it on file for up to 3 months, rhspca.org/apply) to start the approval process for when you do see an animal you'd like to adopt. But we can not hold an animal. The first individual with an approved application, would be able to adopt the pet.

We try to be available to provide adoption services by being open 10-4 on Saturdays and our evening hours on Wednesday nights 5-7. We also must be available to Animal Care & Control and other law enforcement agencies for animal-related situations and most of these agencies operate 8-4 or 9-5.
