The room was very clean and spacious. All of the staff within the hotel were very welcoming and informative. I do however feel that the price of the room should cover parking and that there should be extra linens (blankets) and pillows available in the closet. Other than that I would definitely stay again

Extremely disappointed. Booked two rooms, one for my husband and I, another for our daughter and her family. My daughter’s family that includes two young children were moved to 3 different rooms on the night of check in. Staff is undertrained and not helpful at all; ie. I need a cart, answer, go find one. Terribly uncomfortable beds, with mattresses wrapped in stained plastic covers. Spent way to much for subpar product and service.

We were woken up at 10:30PM by loud college girls then again at 2:30AM and on by presumably college guys. The loud guests can't really be blamed on the hotel but the utter lack of sound proofing can. I could hear casual conversation from the next room and the hallway. I have stayed in holiday inns for $80 a night that were just as nice minus the fancy lobby and a parking garage that had good soundproofing. Another thing that I could imagine waking people up (i was already awake when this happened twice) is the JMU alert system which I didn't know about before hand. I'm sorry but unless there is a nuclear attack or tornado then I don't want to be waken up from a loud siren throughout the night. If a siren goes off in the military then you know something is wrong. I shouldn't have to hear an alert over what is likely nonsense or can be handled at a lower level. A hotel is made for sleeping and I paid $280 to get bad sleep.

The property is top notch, rooms are super clean, location is perfect. We had an amazing stay. The lobby area was awesome with live music and good food. On the last day we had some issues with housekeeping,if not would have definitely given 5 stars. We had to request once in the morning and 3-4 times in the evening to get fresh towels and basic room service. With a sleepy and cranky baby it got really annoying.
