This is a fabulous event. We drive from WV to Harrisonburg just to go to this fair. My only complaint is that there are no bathrooms close to the horse pulls. I took my granddaughter this year and she had to use the bathroom twice during horse pulls. It is quite a walk to the nearest restroom and uphill coming back. We didn't get to finish watching the horse pulls because it was so far to the restroom, and it was obvious we were going to have to go numerous times. Please consider pulling some outhouses near the horse pulls. I'm sure we are not the only people with this issue.

Participating in this one time a year occasion is something I always look forward to and try to participate all six days it is here. It is amazing how many people attend every year which I'm sure is literally thousands of people daily or all together. It is a great place to go also if you are a photographer like I am because there are many things to take pictures of and share with others and I always participate in the photo contest they have each year and have one about 25 ribbons all together and all the years I have participated. It is really good going there to kind of get a feel of what it is like to kind of be in the country instead of just the city since Virginia is an agricultural state and you really don't get a feel of a country unless you live in the country area or rural area. I'm really like watching the tractor pull and the demolition derby that they have and many other things that take place on these Fairgrounds throughout the year also. It is a little bit frustrating that almost every year during the time of the fair it seems to want to rain but it's just something I have to deal with even though it's very disappointing.

Closing times are dependent upon the events. Recommend checking the Rockingham County Fairgrounds web site to be sure.
I don't know if they have one. Their web site would probably have that info.
I think so but you may want to check their web site to be sure.
Sorry, I don't know. Recommend you check their web site for the various events held there.
According to their web site, the Shenandoah Valley Builders Association Home and Garden Show was April 12th and 13th.
