Hello, I have wool from by Babydoll sheep and hair from my Angora goat that I would like to have cleaned for me. So I can start using it to spin. Do you know anyone that could clean this wool and hair for me?

If you only have a couple of fleeces to wash, I recommend watching a video on you tube. It's really not that hard and you'll save a ton of money.

Hi, this is Bobbi. I have 3 suggestions: There is a mill in Salt Lake City called Spinderella. I have heard only amazing things about them and their work. I have unfortunately never used them because they are allergic to rabbits and everything I send to be milled has angora in it. Your wool and mohair shouldn't be an issue. There is a mill just across the state line in Craig, Colorado, called Yampa Valley. They also come very highly recommended but usually have a long wait (sometimes 6 months) to get your fiber in. I just used a new mill in Norman, Oklahoma, called Scissor-tail. They do wash fleeces but the work she did for me was carding and making it into roving. I loved the work and the turn around was really fast. She is working on 2 more jobs for me right now. You can find all of these guys online really easily. Hope that helps!

From Bobbi: Lots of people around here use Spinderella in Salt Lake City. I have only heard great things about them but I have never used them because she is deathly allergic to rabbits and everything I send to a mill has angora in it. There is a mill in Santaquin called Broken Fence but she only does alpaca and alpaca blends, and no dyed fibers. There is a mill in Craig, Colorado called Yampa Valley who is reportedly very good but usually has a long wait (like 6 months) to get in. I used Scissortail Mill in Norman, Oklahoma for my last batch and she did great. You can find all these places easily online.
