This place is amazing. They are the 1st operating yarn store in the United States and to date have been owned and operated by family. They dye their own yarn and their colors are beautiful. The ladies there were very friendly and helpful. They not only have yarn, but there are also examples of items your can knit or crochet, as well as the patterns for everything on display. She pointed out that while sr brands of yarn tend to fade over time, theirs is more likely to hold it's color--as shown by the displays they have. Their cotton yarn is amazing too, with prone to very minimal separation, unlike what you often get with cotton yarns. They have classes available and when there isn't one you can take your project in and if you need help they can and will give what help or advise they are able. If you just want to sit and visit you can do that as well. I LOVE this place!
