Tap water yes, showers no. If you go up the road just a little bit to limekiln campground they have showers. Technically not public, but nobody will really bat an eye if you use them. (I was there just last week)
There is running water, but no drinking water available. Bring your own drinking water and biodegradable soap as the bathroom sinks do not work and there is no soap. No showers. There is a small shop about ten minutes south if you need to buy more, but keep in mind the prices are higher there. Also, just fyi no firewood so propane or gas grills only
The water at the campground IS drinkable/potable.
