I think it's better to apply for emergency travel certificate, then renew your passport when you get to Nigeria. Emergency travel certificate takes only one week, but International passport may take more than 3 months. Unless you are referring to getting a visa to travel to Nigeria
Everything is backed up. No definite Time. I ended up doing the emergency travel documents....
