Fantastic experience renewing passports. Experience made all the better by the lovely lady working at reception. Super efficient and friendly. Fun fact the closest ups store half a mile away takes dutch passport photos.

I had no issues getting my passport renewed once I understood the process. In all fairness I am of the blood so that helps a lot. Lol

I had my Dutch passport renewed in July 2012, but why is / was it only valid until July 2017? That is 5 instead of 10?

It would depend on where your passport is from. Google Schengen Agreement to see if your country of nationality is listed. If so, you can enter the country without a tourist visa for 90 days.
I provide all documentation but they refuse my visa and they send me a letter in Dutch how can i read in duch that’s sucks
