Lol I'm sure everyone would like a free dog but at second chance you have to pay adoption fee. It covers micro chip, vaccines and spay or neuter. Also the shelter sometimes has small dogs, you can check there as well but second chance really is a great place and adopting from them helps a lot of animals.
I just adopted a chihuahua yesterday from Second Chance. They have a few small dogs. Their fees help other animals. I am very happy with my new best friend. But, I am more happy that the fee I paid made a small difference. FYI, I shopped Craigslist before making the decision to adopt, the fee I paid was far less than the price of a small puppy. Also, I know that my new dog is in good health, immunized, and chipped.
