We are working on our TV plans now and expect to release them by the end of this year. Stay tuned for more information coming soon!
Hi Robert! We do not offer mobile services. We do have telephone services, but just for your home or business. You can find more information at www.oecfiber.com!
It's around $60 for the 1/2 gig, and $80 for the 1 gig. There's a $100 set up fee that they will split in 2 payments. The internet speed is super fast. Glad we got it.
Yes
Hi Claudia, I cannot give you an exact timeline due to the many factors than can delay a zone opening! We are definitely working in that area so I will encourage you to sign up for updates at www.OECFiber.com and you will receive an email the moment your zone opens! I hope this helps!
Hi Arthur! You can buy a regular Ethernet cable to connect your devices. Feel free to give us a ring at 217-6868 and select the tech support option if you have any other questions. We’re here to help!
Pauline says OEC will tell her, but they won’t tell me. I’ve been asking the same question for months, but no one can tell me the answer or return my call.
When can we get it at 3574 and 3700 s Luther Newalla
The fiber optic line runs down Maguire from town to just past 96th, they're still running the lines be patient. I'm waiting as well, they just ran it in front of my house. They haven't started hooking to people's houses yet because they're still running it. If you Google OEC fiber you can see a map of where all there running. You can also sign up for updates. They don't update very often but by signing up they now you specifically are waiting. Don't worry though, you are within the lines on the map. I'm off of 140th and Etowah rd, and it's down my street and all around me. If you see me around town in a TS heat and air truck ask me and I'll show you what to look for. It is running down Maguire though, it's the bottom black line on the poles.
Hi Sherri, you can contact us at 405-217-6868 and we will be more than happy to get you an add-on to your TV Plan. For more information about the our TV services you can visit our website at oecfiber.com/tv
Just give it time man they are working hard at getting new areas set up but trust once they do it will be the best switch you've made took us a few months to get it but it's worth it
Yes.
Hi Dearrl. I recommend the Grammarly extension for your browser. It will help you write your questions in a way that we’ll be able to understand, which will get your help a LOT sooner. Take care!
Not sure if you realized this or not but this is a public post and others can see your address. Just a heads up in case you didn't realize.
Hi Carol! There are no known issues in that area, so please give us a call so we can help you out. We have 24/7, 365 tech support and we want to make sure you’re getting the speeds you pay for. Just call us at 405-217-6868 any time of day to speak to a live person for tech support! Thank you!
Hi there, Virginia Parks. I would also like to know the answer to this one too. Although I am no longer a resident of 501 W Catalpa Street in Lexington as you have mentioned, that is where I was as a resident for all of the year 1972, some before and after too. At that time, my father worked for OEC Electric, plain and simple as it was then. He was John P. Skelly (1925-1998). When he would come home, off work, my brother Todd, and me, also known then as Chris, would get the work boots off of our father immediately, as he would ask us to. So, that is that story for now, and I am still interested to know when Lexington is going have OEC Fiber, although I am now age 52 almost age 53, and I am living in Bakersfield, California, U.S.A.., as is my brother, Eric Todd Skelly. Whew, years have gone by since I was age 5 there at 501 West Catalpa Street in Lexington. Drop me a response or answer of a one kind, I am still OEC oriented AND interested.
Pretty sure you just get a modem and have to stream tv but the internet is top notch
Hi Jerry! When workers are building mainline in your zone, this is just the first step of several before we can open your zone to sign ups. While those crews may have only had a few weeks of work left, there is still splicing and testing that comes after the build out. We have to build an entire zone before we can begin splicing, and splicing can take some time depending on the size of your zone. Once we splice each strand of fiber throughout your entire zone, we move to testing to ensure a solid connection throughout your zone before we open you up to service sign ups. Hang in there! We have crews working 7 days a week to get zones ready to get you and your neighbors connected!
What I can tell you is that the phone company used to give us 5MBps and now OEC gives us over 950MBPs.
You just need to run an Ethernet line from the router at the modem to the WiFi access point in your shop. If you don’t have an access point in your shop already, most off-the-shelf WiFi routers can also function as an access point.

Without knowing where you are, impossible to tell you. It's a slowly expanding process. Your best bet would be to call them directly and ask.
Good luck! I’ve been calling for months and no one will answer me or return my call.
For residential internet services, we have a 100 Mbps plan for $55/mo. and a 1 Gbps plan for $85/mo. Both of these plans have the same upload and download speeds, no equipment rental fees (equipment included), no contracts and no data caps. You can read more about our plans, pricing and features at www.oecfiber.com/residential-internet.
It sounds like you have nothing to worry about, if you have power lines going down your drive from the poles the fiber is on they will run it to your house when they hook it up I'm pretty sure. Look on the OEC fiber map and see if your within the lines.
We are working on a TV offering but it isn't live as of yet. Stay tuned to our social media pages, though. We will announce more information about TV as we have it!
