My brother had a CT scan and Pet scan that shows a 5 cm nodule that is eroding into the 7th rib, on the Pet scan the SUV is 14.8 - He can't get into the VA for a biopsy until the 6/21/18 - Does HCI work with VA patients? We're in Salt Lake City.

I know that the doctors at the VA are the same doctors that are at Huntsman or at least most of them are however I do not know about the scheduling and at which location your insurance will pay. Call Huntsman and ask them also call the VA and see if you can get a referral to Huntsman.

I'm sure that anyone at the Huntsman can help you with that. Really great people work there! I agree, check with your insurance first, but the Huntsman is a great place and they really do want to help other cancer patients with whatever they have to offer! If you get a referral from one of your docs. might be a good idea. Some of the same doc's work at the VA as well as the Huntsman. Good luck!
