I love going to the Deaf center for activities and being able to interact with the deaf community is the best. I recommend this place to everyone

We're open from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday with some Saturdays open if there's an event. You can always call the front desk at 801-657-5200 if you have any questions.

I am signed up to take a test at your location on May 27th, which is Memorial Day. Is your building really open on Memorial Day? :)

We're usually closed on the holidays but sometimes testers are allowed in the building for testing even when we are closed. So it'll be best to call Utah Interpreter Program to double check.

what times are students allowed to be at the center to do their Deaf Community Experiences???

Best way to get community experience though the Deaf Center is to go to the website (deafservices.utah.gov) and look for events open to everyone. Also, after business hours, people are welcome to take a self-guided tour around the deaf center.

Does anyone know if you have services at Sanderson center where they check up on the homeless Deaf individuals? There is a white, male, mid 40s who sleeps outside in SLC and only uses sign language. What kind of services available?

Delphi Alvarado | Oct 10, 2018
Dennis Pegues | Oct 10, 2018

There are Services available there for him to find employment, a home and become acquainted with the services available in the community to help him overcome his barriers. The secret is getting him there and his desire to want assistance.
