Hello, I am in a bind, and situations have occurred to where I have to unfortunately give up my best friend of 3 years... I can no longer afford to take care of her the way she needs to be taken care of. Can I bring her in and what is the process?

I would suggest taking some time to investigate possible rehoming, or asking friends neighbors and coworkers whether they would take your pet before I would take it to a shelter. Chesapeake Animal Services is not a no-kill shelter, although they will do their very very best to find a forever home for your pet.
