I was there with 3 kids, 8-16. We walked from the train station to the hotel. In the hotel for 3 nights. Walked / took public transportation everywhere. Never a problem, never felt unsafe.
I would give it a 4, the area is safe but you are in a large city and things happen. That said in all of my time in downtown Seattle I have never felt unsafe, even in the more sketchy places. Just keep your wits about you and your eyes open and show confidence. Also, don't flash your Cartier Watch...
It's great! I felt very safe. I didn't walk around to much yet Seattle is a safe city in general. Good location. Lovely hotel as well.
It is located downtown in an active location .safety would not be a major concern.
Seattle is a very safe city.
I think the immediate location of the hotel is relatively safer than say, the area across the street? I stayed here for a night and parked across the street. My car window got broken in and I felt very unsafe walking to my car. With all that said, I still think that it wouldn't be too bad to wander at night near the hotel. (:
Not sure I could give an accurate rating like that but I didn't feel unsafe walking back to the hotel with my hunnie at night.
We walked everywhere and never felt un safe. The hotel it self was excellent and safe. I would highly recommend the hotel.
