What's the walk up like?

Not bad at all

Very easy and short. I also believe the overlook and trail to it are wheelchair accessible

It's slightly steep, but paved the whole way up (if you take the main route up, I know there's also a nature trail route).

Not bad at all, but depends on your physical ability.

From the rangers office it's not a bad hike some steep spots, you also walk by the restaurant halfway up. The drive is easy with only a mild walk at the end.

Not sure why everybody is asking if he can walk up there is a paved road you can drive up there sometimes you drive through Clouds to get to the top

It will wind you if you're not in shape, but it's definitely doable to almost everyone. It's a good incline going up, but all paved and the view is pretty cool. It's 360 degrees, all the way around the area for miles. And the drive is really nice. Lots of scenic lookout points. From Asheville, it's a good hour one way.

smooth pavement about 5 minute walk. worth it.
