Will I be able to keep my old passport while the renewal process is being done?

It is advisable that you have your application passport form completed before arriving at the Consulate General office. The forms can be downloaded online.Remember when printing the forms, you print the forms front and back for each page, do not make the mistake like many, of printing each side of the forms on seoarated sheets of paper. It will not be accepted. The Consulate is not the Immigration Division, these are two separate government' office. Please be advised the Consulate only accepts the passport application on behalf of the Immigration Division once you meet the requirement. The application is then forwarded to Immigration in T&T for processing and production. The requirements for applying or renewing passports, is not established by any Consulate or Embassy but by the Immigration Division of T&T. The production period of a passport depends on whether your passport is a MRP(Machine Readable Passport) or not. If you do not have a MRP your application process would be different.
