The fee question has been answered. But, did you know that the park has an event 3 times a year where historians dress up from the period and the park rangers open up all of the buildings for you to go through and enjoy stories. The last time I went , one of the original residents was there and she signed one of my books. The festivals usually occur around the months of February, June, and October annually.
Our group were the only people there when we went, and a park ranger came to meet us and opened up the schoolhouse for us to walk in. If you visit and it isn't busy definitely ask a park ranger to do so, the one helping us was very friendly and gave us some background about the place.
What Santos said, however most of the time there is no one there and you have to put the money in a box. Also if you buy the annual pass for the state it's free use
