Your rash may have been from bedbugs. The 8 months i was there, 8 yrs ago, the place was infested with them. The sheets, blankets & towels were washed, however when somebody left, the mattresses were not disinfected which should be mandatory, because unfortunately theres so many chronically homeless there, some with skin issues.
Janice, their just trying to hide the fact of how the place is actually ran. When they aren't the ones living their and the people that do live there and have jobs in the facility are homeless and have no say because their homeless. I'm not letting this go. I stayed there for an experiment for my own knowledge! My shelter and programs will be so different.
Gracie Loveridge i think as much as you try to justyfy false alegastions if they investigate they will find that half of the reviews are true and ur trying ur best to act like youre right But you are full of lies you and the staff their is really Rude as hell uprofesional
I broke out in a rash in that nasty place myself. And this happened two months ago.
What are the requirements to get in the shelter?
Dallas Life has a pest control team and works hard to deal with any bed bug issues if they arise. I know Dallas LIFE has dealt with past issues and like every shelter in Dallas, they work to stay free of bed bugs. When the issues arises, they do deal with it. While some reviews do claim this, I also know that not all reviews are correct and I know of many, many people who do not have this complaint with Dallas LIFE at all. Dallas LIFE is even now working to purchase all new beds and mattresses that cannot get bedbugs to help further with this issue onto of everything else they do.
