Why are the homeless charged for food? Does this shelter receive any kind of assistance? I know someone who desperately needs help. They are in a wheelchair with one leg. But after reading multiple reviews im hesitant to direct them there. Of course anyone who works there is expected to say only good things about the place..but are all these people lying?? Update: I made this ⬆ post a year ago...no one from Dallas Life has addressed the post or the concerns I voiced..that in itself speaks volumes. Fortunately I didn't direct the person I spoke about to this place seeing as I couldn't get any questions answered and all the horrible reviews. I would have felt terrible sending someone there only for them to be mistreated or unfairly treated. At this point Im convinced whomever runs this place doesn't read these reviews or simply just don't care..its sad. I am praying for everyone..and am sending love and positive energy to those that unfortunately have to deal with this.
I sat outside for almost 10 hrs waiting to get in. Around lunchtime one of the residents that came outside bought me something to eat & drink. But wasnt offered anything by any staff. I didn't get anything else until the let us in, in time for dinner
they lost their right to accept food stamps for selling week old prepared meals that u had to reheat. I witnessed people donating food items like donuts and they turn around and sell them in the store.
