It has great hiking trails, beautiful sights, plenty of photo opportunities, and an interesting history. I highly recommend exploring!
I love the covered bridge, beautiful stone bridge, waterfall, and beautiful view from the summit.
Hiking galore, picnic spots, and the stream/waterfall are definitely worth the trip to Devils hop yard! Bring some food & water and a buddy and spend the afternoon! If you have time check out gillette's Castle! It's beautiful and also a wonderful treat if your not into hiking ALL DAY!
Aside from miles and miles of trails there are several picnic areas along a stream and one of the best waterfalls in the state.
Waterfalls and vistas, hiking. Picnics, outdoors
Good hiking trails in various parts of the park. Several streams and brooks with flowing water, and Chapman Falls being the biggest of them. Several places to have picnics and grill, as well as camping. It is not too close to any large towns and is a nice afternoon to get away from the rush of life.
Caves on yellow/blue trail, water crossings, and low mountain laurel "tunnels" make it quite unique.
A waterfall, you can have a picnic there, and you can go camping right next to it
Read all the reviews and you will get an idea of what is all about. An area of Connecticut where the last ice age can be seen. 1000 0/0 worth the trip....
Chapman Falls in Devil's Hopyard is a great place for photos, the stream flows naturally through picnic areas, and under the covered bridge. You can hike the miles of trails and enjoy nature, or just hang out. Many people elope or have an informal wedding somewhere in Devil's Hopyard every year.
Nice waterfall
The devil hops on the yard duh
