The falls are so cool. Lots of great photo opportunities here.

Great hiking area.

Hiked the orange trail. It's only like a 2.5 mile hike but it feels so much longer because of the steep uphill parts. Reaching the vista was beautiful tho and walking back by the water was really pretty. I always love coming here, it's peaceful and I always feel better after 💚 12/10

Just a nature spot. Not a supermarket.
Yes, absolutely! There are a few paths that I would try to avoid because of the rocks you have to climb over. The beginning of the blue/white/yellow trail on the left side of the waterfall has some steep rocks that pups may not be able to get down/up. But you should be good!
Private no... try a weekday. It is pretty for a photo shoot but you won't be alone
How do you pay to camp...drove there...nobody around..is it free
Yesterday was my first time there but the Pavilion is close to one of the parking lot so it would basically be the second entrance on the left is where the second parking lot is with the Pavilion
Free
The short answer is: Not Really...There are plenty of open areas, & water features. Children should be well supervised, as Devil's Hopyard can be very dangerous! (As the name suggests...)
No swimming signs posted through the park. We wade in the river.
No. There are Porto potties in the parking lots. I don't think I've seen sinks but I imagine there must be running water somewhere.
No. I’ve never seen anyone charging anyone
There is fire rings with grates at each of the campsites that you can cook at if you are staying at the campground part
Nothing is free.
It's always possible, but highly unlikely I've done plenty of night hiking in devil's hopyard the only thing I've come across are deer
Was there today. Still not finished.
Yes all Connecticut State Parks are now free to park. A law was passed, because the state parks already charge all residents a yearly fee when they renew or get a drivers license.
It has great hiking trails, beautiful sights, plenty of photo opportunities, and an interesting history. I highly recommend exploring!
I don't think there are any hotels but there are a couple of bed and breakfast places. Just Google them. Enjoy your stay
