If I have an extended warranty and my engine goes while I'm traveling do I have to pay out of pocket to find out the problem? And I also only had my vehicle 6 months.

You should be covered my wife and i had that problem and we didn't keep the car we up graded and we only had our car six months 2014 equinox we went to a 2018

You should keep a copy of the warranty in the glove compartment. Showing that to the service manager at the dealership out of state should be all you need to do. Whatever is covered is covered.

No, it should be covered.

If you are covered with warranty I don't see why not. Hope you have some luck!
