Backstage at the Opry, self guided at Ryman
I'd say self guided, it's at your own pace and you can fully absorb each exhibit.
Self guided is great and you can pace yourself.

Do the backstage tour. When I did it they put everybody on stage to sing. I can now say I sang on stage at the grand ole opry
I would recommend the backstage tour.
Backstage gets you both tours. Do the backstage.
The back stage tour is pretty interesting. I would take that route.
