They range anywhere from $45 to $99 per ticket depending on where you want to sit, it may also fluctuate on the dates you are wanting to go as well. :)
It depends on what you mean by close. The parking for the Grand Ole Opry is the mall parking for Opry Mills. There is a large open area in front of the Opry, between the building and the road, and all the parking is across the roadway. I would expect the handicapped spaces to full up quickly. And the Mall patrons share the parking.
The Grand Old Opry and the Ryman are 2 different buildings. (The Grand old Opry is next to the Opryland Hotel off of Briley Pkwy- the Ryman is in downtown Nashville on 5th)
But they are both in Nashville and owned by the same company "Gaylord".
The Ryman is the original "Mother Church".
Hope this helps.
We parked next door at the Opry Mills mall which is steps away from the main entrance. You just have to drive around all the way to the back past the movie theatre entrance
Yes, both upstairs and downstairs. Generally, it's fast food itens such as hot dogs, pizza, chicken sandwiches & strips, Nachos with cheese, bread sticks, popcorn, kettle corn, candy, and potato chips. Soda and canned beer are also available as well. There are bars in the lobby upstairs and downstairs that offer other alcoholic beverages as well. You can take food and drinks back to your seats.
If you're there for a Grand Ole Opry show itself, then yes, there's a ahuttle available to and from the Opryland hotel. If you're going to the Opryhouse for another type of show (concert, play, special event, private event, graduation, etc...), Then shurtles may, or may not, be offered. That decision is up to the event staff that rented the Opryhouse, and its priducers.
The website shows who's playing. But there's always a great show. August 25th my best friend and I went and thought the Gatlin Brothers were the spotlight performers.
Wonderful surprise, Ray Stevens was also there.
Camp bow wow ,but we took are dog 🐕 and 🐐 every were .seriously. ne er once did any one say a thing .lol but they sure went nuts of the goat, sir buddy jingles. Lol
Buy direct from the Opry. The tickets vary by the performer. Carrie gets mire than Crystal Gale these days. I've paid under $100 for a tickets and almost $500 for another. Andy was right, first row balcony, for the money are great seats.
On certain shows they do have meet and greets but not too often. They offer backstage tours after most shows but the talent is usually gone by then. Best to call box office
I haven't been anywhere since 911, I had a great time at the Grand Ole Opera. Variety shows are awesome, you get a Variety of different kinds of entertainment. Would go again!
Yes you can take a tour without seeing a show. Tours last 45 min to an hour. I'd buy your ticket online for day & time you can go & plan on 5+ min to pickup your ticket at box office. Then as a group you meet outside of another door to have your ticket scanned. Then follow your guide for the next hour! You'll truly enjoy it! (The more questions you ask her the funnier the time will be!!)
first time visiting the grand ole opry, we are in Nashville from March 21st to 26th. The only day we will have another event will be March 24th.
We want to book tickets either on March 22nd, 23rd, or 25th. Not the day we arrive/depart.
Please help

Their website is great because you can keep the ticket on you phone for them to scan when you arrive.
From AmericasLibrary.gov: In 1927, George Hay's radio program, "The WSM Barn Dance," followed a classical music show, "The Music Appreciation Hour." He joked that the audience had been listening to grand opera, but from then on the station would be presenting "the grand ole opry." The name stuck and has been used ever since.
Reserve your spot at least one or two weeks in advance since otherwise it will likely be sold out or be left with poor seating choices. Each adult ticket is around $50 to $100s depending on the day you reserve (the performers) and the seating (balcony, main floor, closer or farther to the stage)
Also buy from their website and or read up on their policy on third party sellers as they cannot guarantee those tickets.
I would say expect to pay up to $200. Bring more for food they sell because no outside food, and souvenir store as well.
Lisa is looking for a website with photos taken at the Opry.
They are of a new artist that she can not remember the name of.
She simply needs a web link to Opry Company who handed a paper to her.
Hope this helps Lisa ;)
On the video of the 40th anniversary, a group of celebrities were singing the Wabash Cannon Ball. Who was the fellow on the violin next to Bobby Osborne.

Are you open on Sundays.

Yes they are open on Sundays, but the showed are on Saturday nights.
There is an Easter service there held by GC church and you order free tickets online at the GC church web address. Google it. (Generation Changers) GC church also has services on Sunday and Wednesday. Parking at church and across the street (a bus will pick you up if you park across street) church parking is over on the left across the street. You are welcome! All are welcome!
Personally, I would purchase as soon as they are on sale for the date you wish to attend. Christmas Season tickets go quickly. (Another good to know is that Opry and Ryman tickets are non-refundable.) Hope that helps!
Yeah, if you park as close to the brick wall but stay in the mall parking lot you wont pay the $30 parking you will be in the middle of the hotel, Opera, and mall!
The parking is part of the Mall parking it's free but go early parking is full close to main entrance if u go later and not sooner be prepared to walk a good distance .and if it's cold wear warm clothing no heaters outside the main doors .We did not go into the Mall it is big park early go in Mall also Madam tosuades u get 10 bucks off when u show grand ole oprah stub
Try going online too and see if you can get mobile tickets sent as well. Thankfully you have a few days to figure it out. I have no doubt they will get this taken care of, if you can't online for some reason. Enjoy!
For a tour, any time as they run every 15 minutes or so. To see a show I would recommend purchasing tickets a head of time as they are usually sold out.
They have beer, wine and cocktails available for purchase in the evening when there are performances. No food or drinks are available in the daytime when they are only doing the tours.
We will be in Nashville from Oct 3-8 but really Oct 4-7 with flight schedules...which would be the best day for us to go to the Grand Ole Opry??

There is a show at the ryman downtown on Thursday Oct 4th. There's is 1 show Friday night oct 5th at the opry house and 2 shows sat night at the opry house. Any of these shows will be good.
Just fast food items at the concession stands. Hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, chicken strips, small personal pizza, bread sticks, nachos with cheese, popcorn, candy, and chips.
On single show nights it usually runs about 2 hours and 15 minutes. With a 15 minute intermission at about the halfway mark in the show.
On two show nights, it's different. The show lasts for two hours with no intermission.
Note that both shows can get out later than the listed 2 hour, or 2 hour 15 minute mark. Performers can and do sometimes push the show into overtime occasionally.
You can talk to an usher, or security guard inside at the show. They will have you write out your information on a sheet of paper and then they will deliver it backstage to the announcers.
For me, the first floor is best. Sections 1-7 have ramps and no steps to deal with. Sections 8-15 have a few steps. Nothing major and well spaced apart. Sections 16-37 on the mezzanine level and upstairs deck have an abundance of steps just to get to your seats. If you are handicapped in any way, and have trouble doing lots of steps, I would recommend buying your seats on the first floor. If steps are not an issue, I like the mezzanine level, sections 19, 20, and 21. If you have the money though, sectuons 3, 4, and 5 Rows AA - CC right up front are the best in the house. Nothing like being up close and personal.
There are giant viewing monitors located around the theater to give you that up close look at your favorite stars as well.
The Grand Ole Opry moved to the new Opry House on March 16 1974, with an opening night show that included a visit from President Richard M. Nixon. - Source: "The Encyclopedia of Country Music"
Tickets vary depending what seats you choose. We paid $65 and had great seats. You can pay less for the balcony or more and include back stage tour etc.
There is not a bad seat in the house so you don't need to spend a lot of money. But you should do the backstage tour as well as the show and get the package deal
We were there a few weeks ago and it was over in 2 1/2 hours. We hung out a little but it really started clearing out pretty much right after the show.
With fighting traffic for the shops, the mall and theatre plus the venue and no parking at the Grand Ole Opry, I'd allow an hour or more. You'll have to park in the shopping center parking lot (wherever you can find a spot) and and walk. Good luck!
Every week. Don't quote me on this but I am pretty certain they haven't missed a show since the 30's. Even had a show the Tuesday after the flood in 2010. It was at the War Memorial Auditorium but the show went on.
Sarah Ophelia Colley Cannon, known professionally as her stage character Minnie Pearl, died on March 4, 1996 at the age of 83. Her death was attributed to complications from another stroke. She is buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Franklin, Tennessee.
The Grand Ole Opry does not provide photographs, audio or video for personal use. You may license them through their website for professional use though.
If you're just looking for a single performance, try YouTube.
The Opryhouse out at the Opry Mills Mall holds 4400 people.
The Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville seats about 2000 people.
The Opry show itself splits between these two venues depending on the time of year and the type of show.
The regular Opry show runs from February through October at the Opryhouse near Opry Mills Mall. During the months of November, December, and January the show moves to the Ryman auditorium downtown.
On select Thursday nights, the Opry "country classics" show runs at the Ryman Auditorium.
This all can create some confusion. So be sure to check your tickets closely when you order them to make sure you're headed to the right venue location.
Also, don't rely on your Uber, cab, or bus driver to know the correct venue for your show.
Read your ticket and know the proper location ahead of time. It will save you from a lot of stress in the long run.
It depends on which venue the Opry show is actually playing at.
If you're going to the Opryhouse out near the Opry Mills Mall, then it has a shared parking lot with the mall itself and that's free.
If the Opry is playing at the Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville, then you'll likely have to pay for your own parking.
Check ahead of time when you order your tickets to determine which venue you will be going to. It will save you from accidentally showing up at the wrong place.
The tour hours vary depending on the day of the week and whether or not there are any special events or shows going on that day.
Note that during days that there are special events that are not open to the public, tours will likely not run. It's best to call ahead and check, or buy your tour tickets, ahead of time.
No dress code. Most people come in jeans and a comfy short sleeve shirt of some kind.
I would recommend coming in a comfortable pair of walking shoes as there will be a good amount of walking to get from your car to your seat and back again.
Pro Tip: Bring a 99 cent emergency poncho in your pocket for rain showers that may occur at anytime to and from the long walk to your car.
Always check the weather before you leave and dress appropriately.
If you're talking about shows. They run every Friday and Saturday night throughout the entire year. Tuesday night shows run throughout most of the year. Wednesday night shows run on during the summer months. There are Thursday "country classics" shows at the Ryman Auditorium during select periods throughout the year. Currently, as of this writing, there are no Sunday or Monday Opry shows.
Yes, there is a giant free car park that also serves the Opry Mills mall. Get there early to get close, or you may end up having to park some way away.
Is glen Campbell and Tanya Tucker members of the grand old opry

Neither pull up as a member but they've both performed there. The Opry did a tribute to Glen after his death. Hopefully Tanya will continue to perform there.
For the first show, the doors open up one hour before the show. That is unless there's some technical issue inside at the last minute. It doesn't happen often but it does happen occasionally. Unhappy little hiccups as I like to call them. lol
The second show (if there is one that night), the doors will open up roughly 15 minutes before the second show starts.
My personal recommendation is that if you have a choice between the first and second shows, come to the first show. You'll have a better experience.
