Rockefeller Center is the home to a lot of famous places. Magnolia Bakery, NBC Studios, and Top of the Rock to name a few. I would suggest trying to get tickets for one of the tapings while you're there if you can. I went to the Tonight Show this past week and it was such a fun experience. I also suggest doing the Top of the Rock. It's better than the Empire State Building, tour in my opinion. The sunrise sunset package is really a great deal. The architecture inside and out alone is worth going to Rockefeller Center.
There's a Lego store that your son might like. And some really high end stores selling apparel and accessories. People come here though and pay tickets to the Top of the Rock observatory, which has great views of the city.
There is Radio City Music Hall. Across the street, there is Saks 5th Avenue. In fact, there is a whole lot to see and do in the area surrounding Rockefeller Center. Times Square among them.
From wheeling w v, had a good time, going back soon,
Lots of shops in the mezzanine section. Bring cash.
NBC studio tour but be sure to get your tickets in advance on line
The building is located at Rockefeller center; a place with loads of shops and restaurants. Visit Top of Rock observation deck. There are several kid-oriented shops in and around the building. I think there are tour of the NBC TV studios. There is a mall at lower level.
