I heard that 300 CoQ 10 and 300 Magnesium daily may help prevent migraines, but don't know if it's true. Ask your doctor. May not be something you should be taking anyway without letting your doctor know.

Has anyone tried Botox injection?

I'd love more than anything then to tell you some doctor has a cure for migraines because I suffer with them as well. With that said, maybe getting shots might help you, I have to go to the emergency room and get them. Please take a driver I'd hate for you to wait all that time and not be able to be given them . The shots help for the migraines that have gotten really bad . Good luck and if I find anything that helps I'll let you know and if you find anything, please let me know

I have had migraines for almost 5 years from a moderate traumatic brain injury when a druggie broke into our house and he hit me 8 times over the head with a pipe wrench. The migraines would last for days and were what the neurologists in Knoxville called complicated migraines becau se they can also produce TIA symptoms (mini-stroke). We did Botox and they thought I had had a stroke because I couldn't talk, topiramate caused a kidney stone, and the triptan drugs caused grand mal seizures. The doc out me on low dose pain meds to stay functional, increased my ACE inhibitor (blood pressure), and after we moved to Gainesville they added mematine (Nomenda). With time and lots of rest, they gave gotten much better. The docs also made sure I had plenty of phenergan and zofran at home so the nausea could be stopped quickly. SIMED rehab also is great for chronic issues.
