The room I was given in Phoenix, Az. was totally discusting. We had to go some other place. Make sure you check the room before you decide to stay.
You should book longer stays online. The longer the stay, the less expensive the rate. Most ESAs are basic, some are acceptably clean, but you should read reviews and ratings first because although it is a chain, many are wildly inconsistent or poorly managed. If you order a Big Mac in N.Y., it is going to taste just like a Big Mac in CA. Not so with ESAs chain. I stayed at the one in Scottsdale AZ because I assumed it would be nicer because it's a more upscale area than Phoenix, AZ. It was the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. And I am from Scottsdale (returning military). And always ask to see the room before taking occupancy because they are not going to give your monthly money back. They are all different. Some have been closed permanently. Caveat Emptor!.
They do offer a discount to long staying resident
No
Yes, sign up with their Perk Rewards program online. You'll get a decent amount of discounts/coupons sent to your email at least 3x a week.
I'm sure they do, if you're signed up with their Extended Perks promotion
