My husband is a trail runner and we have a well-trained lab who runs with him. Will our dog be allowed to run with him off-leash on trails in the national forest?

Dogs being off the leash is against the rules. However, you probably won't see anyone that will complain. I live in the Forrest and I take my dog off the leash half the time. There are many nice trails and the Florida Trail Association can be helpful. We are just now starting yellow fly season, which lasts a couple of months. They can turn a pleasant hike into a nightmare for man or beast.
