You can camp anywhere in the Ocala Forest along the Florida Trail for free. I parked my Passat on the side of 66...for free!!!
Its $6 to get in. Most free camping is always taken. But roads when raining are for 4 wheel drive, rough roads.

There is dispersed camping. You'll need 4WD for much of it. Many of the Forest Roads are soft sand.
I'm looking to go camping with friends where are some places that I can set up a tent and fire that's near water that's free I'd like to do some real camping not clamping I'm in citrus Springs fl anything near or close to me is preferred tia
