I might come to New Orleans this year, but I'm not sure yet. That being said are there any stores like this, that aren't of the high priced touristy type?

On the back of the Hex brochure there is a listing of all the "magic" shops in the French Quarter. I checked them all out while I was there. Many of the prices were slightly cheaper than Hex, but Hex had a really cool feel. I felt most were worth a visit.

They are all highly touristic. Especially those on the French quarter, who I believe are the only ones

Lots of them in the quarter, for voodoo, witch craft, and vampire memorabilia

There are a few in the area. But, this store is definitely worth the visit and the price.

Hex is quite nice & the folks there are friendly & helpful...there are many places like this but imho i liked this the best...really not as touristy as some others!

Voodoo authentica is fairly reasonable price wise, but it is new Orleans everything is touristy.
