I asked my question 3 years ago. I am surprised to see it is still active. The answer I received was great.

how much for a 6 month old puppy to neuter

Elizabeth J | Sep 10, 2018

No. You must bring your pet in for neutering. It would be cost prohibitive to pick up, neuter and return pets. The Humane Society, the ASPCA and a few other organizations offer neutering among other vetrainary services (exams and vaccinations) from mobile vans. The services are free for those who can provide documentation that they are indigent. The van comes to each borough about once every 6 months. You should check out the website to see if and when they will be in your neighborhood. The Humane Society does provide low cost neutering and spaying, compared to a veterinarian in private practice. You will need to bring your pet in though, unless you can find a volunteer to cart your cat bavk ans forth.
